“When will I learn to understand this accent!?”

I have now stayed nearly three weeks in Glasgow. I haven’t had that much classes yet, but I can tell that studying here will be difficult. Studying, reading and doing presentations is a lot harder in English than I imagined it would be not to mention that I get stage fright when having presentations even in Finnish. But I’m glad that I’m here to have new experiences.

Also other thing that has been a problem for me is the Scottish accent. Some people I understand really well but others sound like they’re holding a tiny meatball under their tongue while speaking. This is making it difficult to understand what the teacher is saying in classes. It’s good that I have a few Scottish friends so I’ll learn the accent eventually by talking with them.

By my spare time I’ve been exploring Glasgow or spending time with my roommates.  Last week we visited the Kelvingrove Museum. It was really interesting and I was surprised it was free.

Also I visited St. Andrews last weekend.
